Gobos enhance design by creating great visuals on walls, floors, backdrops and other scenic elements. They can even be used in place of scenery. The appearance of the image can be affected and/or enhanced through the use of color filters and the angle and focus of the light being used, allowing for additional design flexibility. Gobos are ideal for temporary projects like corporate events, meetings and exhibits.
Gobos enable the lighting designer to create installations with remarkable visual impact. Almost any image can be reproduced on gobos nowadays, from simple geometric line art to colour designs and High Definition images. Manufactured to stand up to high temperatures and ensure long life: dichro and glass gobos have a longer life than metal gobos and above all better resolution, enabling them to reproduce High Definition images.

Metal gobos are the most traditional type and are made in brass or special steel. A metal gobo is much cheaper to make than a glass gobo but is limited in design and contains no color options.

Glass gobos: Colored glass gobos project clear, crisp detailed photos, images or logos that require specific color matches or any images with gradients of color. They are designed for maximum temperature tolerance and longer life in higher wattage ellipsoidal and intelligent lights. Glass gobos are ideal for images requiring specific color matches or any images with gradients of color. Multi-color glass gobos provide a more clear and crisp image than steel or brass but are more expensive and time consuming to produce.
Custom gobos can also be made to order with any image you wish.
Logos, designs or even photographic images can be reproduced on gobos according to the various applications: metal gobos can be made for simple images and text or glass gobos for High Definition and colour images.
